Add some color to your life

Entering into a marriage and moving into a new home together creates a merger of various tastes, styles and a mutual agreement of paint color choices. Most people do not realize that men and women differ in their color preferences. Statistics show that women prefer cool colors and men prefer brighter colors. We all have color preferences that may differ between family members, but the combination of the right colors will make a happy home.

Colors should coordinate and flow throughout the house. Dark and bold colors such as raspberry and hunter green can be used in the family room creating a more masculine feel. The softer version of those same colors would be a soft green with raspberry accents used in an adjoining room creating a feminine feel.
