When Jason Hoover opened his restaurant to 619 Baltimore St. in Gettysburg,
he had a vision to fulfill. J’s at the Village served its first customers on May 15 in a familiar spot, fronting the Old Gettysburg Village shops. The building has been home to a handful of other eateries that have come and gone, but Hoover believes what he is offering has lasting appeal.
“My vision is to bring to the Gettysburg community the dining experience they have been going out of the area for,” he says. He refers not only to the quality and presentation of the food, but to the service as well. “J’s offers casual fine dining,” he explains, “That means you can expect tablecloths and silver service, but the style of service is not formal like in a fine dining restaurant. Our staff is more casually attired, but the service is top notch,” he says.
