37th Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration

Join us for a night of celebration! On Monday, January 23, the 37th annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration will be hosted at Gettysburg College’s Christ Chapel from 7:00-8:30 p.m. The event will feature keynote speaker Troy Datcher, a Gettysburg College Alumnus ’90, and Vice-President of Sales and Sports Marketing for the Clorox Company, based in Oakland, California. The evening will include musical performances by the Morgan State University Choir, the Chamber Chorale of the Gettysburg Children’s Choir, and a prelude by the Biglerville High School Jazz Band at 6:30 p.m. There will also be a presentation of the Living the Dream Award, which acknowledges a local resident who lives King’s ideals of peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.
Admission is free and the public is invited to attend!
This annual event is sponsored by the Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration committee, and SCCAP’s Adams County Career Aid Project. The Living the Dream Award is sponsored by United Way of Adams County and the YWCA Gettysburg & Adams County.
